Mission Statement

The Washington Jesuit Academy, a Catholic school formed under the auspices of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) and operated according to Jesuit educational principles, educates in grades 6 through 8 academically talented adolescent boys from low-income families regardless of religious denomination and provides for them a disciplined, rigorous learning environment. WJA prepares these boys to become "men for others" who, having gained confidence spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically will be able to succeed in a college preparatory high school on their way to becoming leaders in their communities.
