Season Highlights:

The 2011 WJA Track and Field team had a wildly successful second season. It was marked by many individual and team accomplishments. The team was able to outlast everything the weather threw at the team. Each and every practice and meet the team came out and performed at a high level ready to improve. This hard work, dedication, and openness to growth peaked at the CYO Championships. The team made a school record with 38 entries into the championship meet. In that meet Harry Bridgers finished 3rd in the 100m and 200m, Jomah Bokai finished 2nd in the shot put, Miguel Colon finished 8th as WJA’s first championship finalist in the 13-14 age division. The two WJA relays also finished 2nd (4x200m) and 3rd (4x100m). The team certainly saw the dividends of their hard work and dedication through this lengthy track and field season.
