Our Students

Washington Jesuit Academy admits students who possess academic potential, strong adult support, and are economically poor. Of the 68 students enrolled at WJA, 94% are African American and 6% are Latino.

With a student to teacher ration o f 7:1, Washington Jesuit Academy is able to provide the individual attention that students need to achieve academic success.

Student Accomplishments:

  • In the first four months of school our 6th graders have read 431 books. While our seventh graders have read 561 books so far!
  • In the second semester 15 students made it on the WJA honor roll, which recognizes students with no less than a B grade in all their classes.
  • WJA students were featured in a newsletter by Earth Force. The students conducted water testing last summer as part of their science project.

  • Percentage point increase in standardized language scores over two years: 20.5
  • Percentage of students reading at or above grade level upon graduation: 95%
